Foldable Small House

Architecture studio Olson Kundig designed such a cabin on San Juan Island in Washington state, USA. When explaining the inspiration to designboom, architect Olson Kundig said, “People have to be in contradiction to get the full experience. It’s just like you don’t know what heat is until you feel cold. Only when you experience danger, do you know what safety is like. .

Inside the house, the designer made this small house look quite spacious through clever layout. What must be mentioned is the use of large-area floor-to-ceiling windows, which bring the outdoor world into the house with a broad view and eliminate the separation between artificial buildings and nature.
